Vasti treatment in panchakarma means expelling body toxins and vitiated doshas by introducing medicated liquids or oils through anus, urethra or vaginal canal. Vasti involves introducing medicinal substances such as sesame oil, calamus oil, or other herbal decoctions in a liquid medium into the rectum. It alleviates constipation, distention, chronic fever, kidney stones, backache, neck pain and hyper acidity. Vashti can treat Vata disorders like sciatica, arthritis, rheumatism and gout .
